About Me
I got my first camera when I was 12 years old. Even then I was posing my Cabbage Patch dolls with my friends.
Throughout high school I took photos for the yearbook.
As an adult all trips or special events I would take multiple rolls of photos. When things went digital, so did I.
In spring of 2006 I attended the NASCAR racing events in Talladega. I came home with 14 rolls of film and over 800 digital photos.
That same summer while at the Electric City Speedway I started taking photos of my dad and his friends as they raced. I was using just a plain point and shoot camera. Some of his friends asked for photo collages and spread the word when they were satisfied with my work. Later that summer I got my first digital SLR camera that allowed me more freedom with camera settings. In February of 2007 I purchased a Nikon D80 camera and the ability to adjust settings, take more night shots, and zoom in increased.
Though I love my racing photography, I learned this past year how to take Infrared photos and became passionate about it. There is nothing like standing out in the middle of the day and taking a photo that makes all the green turn white and the sky look like night.
Other accomplishments:
2007 Montana State Fair Photography Winner for an Infrared photo.
Collaborated, designed, and published a book of the 50 States and Washington DC with 132 photographers all around the world. This book contains 440 pages of over 1300 photos.
